We have a deep appreciation for the simplest pleasures: the sun on our faces, a glass of wine shared with friends. This dress is a simple pleasure too — created using a cool collage of botanical prints and lithographs from the late 1800’s, and just a delicate whisper of blush for the background. The adjustable straps, oversized cut, and soft, flowy bamboo viscose make it a wardrobe staple for layering, running errands, dancing, lounging or napping — and it’s a must-have for travel, wherever you roam. The vintage print is trimmed on the hem with a stunning heritage font that we reconstructed to spell out our grocery list of needs: peace, wine and sunshine baby!

Please note: The nature of our soft bamboo/wood viscose means it’s slightly sheer, so we recommend layering it with our Étoile slip (or any other slip you have) when wearing it with bare legs. Our model in the photos is wearing the dress without a slip.

100% viscose (derived from plant fibres such as bamboo and wood). Machine wash gentle or handwash and hang to dry. Iron to finish if needed.

Adjustable straps. Dress measurements: S/M — length 132cm at shortest strap adjustment, 142cm at longest. Width 52cm (across bust, underarm to underarm), 54cm (across waist seam). L/XL — 134 cm length at shortest strap adjustment, 144cm at longest. Width 57cm (across bust, underarm to underarm), 59 cm (across waist seam). Model is 5’5”, and is wearing a size S/M for reference.

It pairs perfectly with a pair of sandals and black sunnies for a laid-back, Parisian feel — or layer it up in chillier weather with black tights, boots, and a leather jacket. Have an event to go to? More Inspo

Historic prints and museum archives are a huge source of inspo for us, particularly old images from print advertising and antique magazines. It’s amazing the amount of detail and charm that these images contain, and they still feel super relevant and (and very cool) today. The prints used in this dress design date from the early to late 1860s. While there’s a wealth of archival resources from this era online to explore, we love spending an afternoon getting lost in an old bookshop and stumbling upon forgotten treasures.

breathed the sweet smell of milk and strawberries, watched laundry dry on the line, 
and slept. 

Years later on a June day, 
lying in the grass after a kiss 
she stared at the sky and the warm wind
lifted the edges of her dress.
