Our effortlessly cool new Artist Pants are made from a custom-woven, breathable blend of linen and viscose, and feature a drawstring front, elastic waist panel, pockets, cropped length, and a flattering lantern hem design. They pair perfectly with everything and adds an artsy vibe to your wardrobe— dress them up with a silk tank & blazer, or down with a jean jacket and boots— either way, expect compliments ;)

About the print:

A beautiful reminder to seize the day— to be fully, tenderly, alive in this very moment. Momento is our reimagining of the traditional memento mori — a phrase once used to remind us of life’s impermanence. Rather than dwelling on what fades, this piece turns its gaze toward what endures: love, truth, wonder… the beauty of the life we are living right now.  These remarkable Artist Pants feature a collage of artwork by celebrated artist Jessica Roux, whose hand brings warmth and gentleness to everything she creates. A tangle of botanicals and time-honoured symbols weave together through the print --  including a skull softened by flowers, luna moths and butterflies mid-transformation, roses, and sheaves of wheat. The banner on the back of the leg reads Memento Vivere: remember to live. Each element becomes a small talisman — a reminder of cycles, change, and the fragile, luminous beauty of being alive.  Created as a piece for those who find meaning in moonlight, in wings, in wildflowers pressed between pages, Momento is a reminder to savour what is fleeting, to hold what matters close — and to live boldly and joyfully while we can.

These Artist Pants are available in two size-runs. The Original O/S will fit approximately size 4/10 and the L/XL will fit approximately size 12/16. We take all our measurements on a garment lying flat. So the circumference would be roughly double the listed number. See sizing diagram in photos for approximate measurements. Model is 5'3" for reference and is wearing the Original O/S.

For relaxed days, french-tuck a simple black or sage tee, add loafers or sneakers and a leather or denim jacket — effortless, and a little edgy. For something more elevated, style them with a cream eyelet or lace blouse, ankle boots, and oxidized silver jewelry — moody and full of romance. The tradition known as memento mori has appeared in art for centuries, especially in European painting and illustration from the 16th and 17th centuries. These works often included everyday symbols — flowers, birds, insects, wheat, books, hourglasses and sometimes a skull — woven into scenes of daily life. Rather than being meant as something dark or morbid, they served as subtle reminders of life’s fleeting nature, encouraging the viewer to notice beauty, cherish time, and live with intention.

In many historical still lifes, these symbols sat alongside ripe fruit, handwritten notes, or musical instruments — objects meant to be used and enjoyed. The message was simple and human: nothing lasts forever, and that is precisely what makes each moment precious. Over time, this artistic language became less about endings, and more about presence — an invitation to pause, to feel, and to savour what is here.

With Momento, we were inspired by this tradition, but chose to turn it even more toward hope. By replacing memento mori with memento vivere — remember to live — the images shift from cautionary to celebratory. Moths and butterflies speak to transformation, wheat to nourishment and continuity, birds to companionship and movement. Even the skull, softened by flowers and moonlight, becomes not a warning, but a quiet reminder: this moment matters. Be here for it :)
